Who we are
Vision & Mission
We envision a world where existing buildings become role models of decarbonization and future-ready performance, creating lasting value for people and the planet.
We support building projects, knowledge-sharing, and innovation that accelerate the transformation of existing buildings into low-carbon, future-ready assets that are resilient, healthy, comfortable, and economically viable for the long term.
How we are governed

Donors
We are financed through donations from the Belimo Group and the Linsi Foundation. The Belimo Group also provides access to staff time and expertise. The Belimo Climate Foundation is an integral part of Belimo’s three-pillar Climate Strategy. Through climate-financing, Belimo commissions the Belimo Climate Foundation to accelerate the transition toward more energy-efficient, low-carbon buildings. The Linsi Foundation, established in 1997 by Ursula and Walter Linsi following Belimo Holding AG’s IPO, is committed to advancing projects of public benefit.
Principles
The Belimo Climate Foundation is a nonprofit organization that is politically and denominationally neutral. It neither intends to make profits nor to pursue profit-making or self-interest purposes. In accordance with the principle of additionality, only projects that could not be realized without support from the foundation and that serve the common good will be supported.
